At the discussion, held with the participation of Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky, it was stated that the Hungarian economy and industry had given an extraordinary performance even last year, which had been the most difficult one in the last three decades. In times of strife and amidst the war in Ukraine, the decision to launch Hungary’s defence industry development program has proven to be a good one.

Viktor Orbán stated that defending Hungary is our most important goal, and therefore the development of the Hungarian Defence Forces and Hungarian defence industry must not slow down despite the crisis caused by the European sanctions. Thus, the cooperation between Rheinmetall and the Hungarian state will also continue uninterrupted.
