In these grave hours, Israel is setting an example in this regard”, said Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky at the International Pro-Israel Summit organized by the Center for Fundamental Rights in Budapest on 9 October.
Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky emphasized that the relations between Hungary and Israel are deep and meaningful, also in the field of military affairs: Hungary has already purchased and continues to purchase several pieces of Israeli-made and -developed military hardware in the interest of strengthening its armed forces and increasing its national resilience.
“Hungary considers Israel as one of the key actors in guaranteeing stability in the Middle East, and Israel’s activity in the region also contributes to the security of Europe and Hungary”, pointed out the minister of defence at the Summit.
“We stand with Israel, which can count on us in times of trouble, too”, emphasized Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky.
