Necessitated by the war in Ukraine, safeguarding the airspace of the three NATO ally Baltic countries is more important than ever, and this year’s is already the third occasion when the air force of the Hungarian Defence Forces participates in the Baltic Air Policing mission, this time as a lead nation – this was said at a discussion between Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky and Raul Toomas, Estonia’s ambassador in Budapest on Monday, 21 November.
KFOR MISSION HAS NEW COMMANDER

In Kosovo, the Hungarian command year in the KFOR mission has come to an end. On Monday, 10th October, Major General Ferenc Kajári handed over the command of KFOR to Italian Major General Angelo Michele Ristuccia in a ceremony at the Camp Film City, in Pristina.

After seeing the command post of the NATO enhanced Vigilance Activity Battle Group (HUN eVA BG) in Tata, Lieutenant General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi PhD, Commander, Hungarian Defence Forces paid a visit to inspect the international forces stationed in Camp Croft, Újmajor, where, among others, he was informed about the accommodation circumstances as well as the already executed and the planned tasks.
Hungarian national parachute team competes in the Czech Republic

On Monday, 18 July the 37th FAI World Freefall Style & Accuracy Landing Championships started with an opening ceremony in Strakonice, the Czech Republic. Twenty-eight teams and 179 competitors from 28 countries have entered the competition, where Hungary is represented by the national parachute team of the Hungarian Defence Forces.
Headquarters Multinational Division Centre activated

Based on its Activation Document issued on 3 May, the North Atlantic Council activated with immediate effect the Headquarters Multinational Division Centre (HQ MND-C) located in Székesfehérvár. The activation ceremony was held on Tuesday, 10 May.
