Preparing to leave for America

The Combat Readiness Exercise 26 will be organized in Michigan, the United States of America this July, and reservists from several territorial defence regiments of the Hungarian Defence Forces are going to travel there to participate in it. Their preparation is in full swing: after taking the mandatory inoculations, the soldiers developed and executed the operation orders (OPORDs).
Dutch–Hungarian Bilateral Discussion on the Development of Reserve Forces

To restart the Dutch–Hungarian defence policy dialogue, the HDF Territorial Defence and Military Augmentation Command held a discussion on the possible new fields of bilateral cooperation in the Volunteer Reserve System, recruitment and patriotic and national defence education within the framework of a bilateral meeting in Budapest from 2 to 4 February.

“One of the most phenomenal developments of the Hungarian Defence Forces has been in the field of territorial defence” – said Brigadier General Matthew S. Woodruff, Adjutant General, Ohio National Guard (ONG). During his dayslong visit to Hungary, the American general – who had been appointed Adjutant General in May – met with, among others, Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky and General Dr. Gábor Böröndi, Chief of HDF Defence Staff.
