Speaking about the Hungarian commander’s year, he said that Hungary’s engagement is our pride, and at the same time, a proof that our country takes seriously the security of the Western Balkans.

The salary of the soldiers is being increased again as of 1 January 2024. Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky said that the salary increase in the Hungarian Defence Forces covers an 11 percent increase on average but it may vary according to the category of the personnel.
