The change of command ceremony was held in the gala hall of the Central Hospital of Northern Pest – Military Hospital on 22 October.

Lithuanian military recognition to Hungarian Air Force representatives

This year, the single ground-based air defence (GBAD) organization of the Lithuanian Air Force celebrates two milestones of its existence: the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Air Defence Battalion and the 90th anniversary of the creation of the air defence artillery (Aircraft Defence Detachment) branch in the Lithuanian Armed Forces. The Hungarian invitees of the ceremony were Brigadier General Ferenc Könczöl, Commander, HDF 101st Aviation Wing, Colonel Tibor Matyi, Commander, HDF 205th Air Defence Regiment (Győr) and Lieutenant Colonel Sándor Nagy, Commander, 1st NASAMS Battalion of the Győr-based regiment.

Honoring the Romanian soldiers’ memory

On the occasion of the Romanian Armed Forces Day, on 20 October, in the New Public Cemetery, Budapest, a military commemoration coupled with wreath-laying took place at the memorial of Romanian soldiers who had fallen in World War II in Hungary.
