Exercise EUFOR Quick Response 2021 started in mid-September to test the quick reaction forces (QRF) and capabilities of the peacekeeping mission as well as the subunits of countries providing the Intermediate Reserve Forces (IRF). A change of responsibility ceremony was held in Norfolk on 29 September; having completed his three-year service, Command Sergeant Major Tibor Bogdán, Command Senior Enlisted Leader at NATO Allied Command Transformation (NATO ACT) relinquished his position to Command Chief Master Sergeant Brion P. Blais, U.S. Air Forces in Europe. Supreme Allied Commander Transformation General Philippe Lavigne was also present at the event.
