The first two Bulgarian teams have already started their training with the help of the instructors of the helicopter wing in Szolnok.

The simulator is one of the most important and cost-effective elements of flying training, which is indispensable for the use of aircraft equipped with state-of-the-art complex systems. Simulator training is inescapable from a flight safety viewpoint in the period of preparation for combat sorties.

The equipment enables pilots to acquire, while on the ground, those basic aircraft technology and navigation skills that are needed for the accomplishment of visual and instrument flight training sessions. As a training aid, the Mi-17 simulator helps pilots to prepare, before getting airborne, for various in-flight situations that may even include emergencies which they may encounter during real-world flying.
