“Our neighbors can always count on our help!” – wrote Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky on his social media page, where he announced that the Hungarian Defence Forces are also participating in the ongoing rescue efforts in Slovenia, a country stricken by torrential rainfall.
“The storms of the past few days have not spared our neighbors, either. In Slovenia, torrential rainfall has wreaked havoc, causing flooding. Following our discussion with my Slovenian counterpart, Defence Minister Marjan Šarec, the helicopters of the Hungarian Defence Forces are being dispatched to Slovenia to support the rescue efforts. The military planning of the details is already under way” – wrote Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky.
Monday morning, 7 August: two H145M helicopters of the Hungarian Defence Forces are ready to take off for Slovenia.
