Preparedness, dedication, motivation – Hungarian expertise at NATO SHAPE

“As a committed member of NATO, Hungary actively contributes to the strengthening of peace, stability and collective defence” – said Major General Dr. László Sticz, the National Military Representative of the Hungarian Defence Forces, who welcomed the Hungarian soldiers arriving at NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Mons, Belgium within the framework of a staff meeting. They started their permanent foreign service in the recent period of time. He pointed out that in the person of Brigadier General Dr. Péter Vekszler, once again a Hungarian military doctor fills one of NATO’s highest-level medical leadership positions (SHAPE/ACO Chief JMED/MEDAD), and also welcomed at the event Chief Warrant Officer Zoltán Kaszab, who is about to take over the Command Senior Enlisted Leader (CSEL) position at Allied Command Operations (ACO).

Major General Sticz added that in order to achieve successes together, it is especially important to provide continuous, high-level support to the information flow and professional cooperation between ACO and the leaders of the Hungarian Defence Forces, which is assisted by our prepared, dedicated and motivated personnel at SHAPE. The National Military Representative has set the objective of building a Hungarian community that is disciplined, cohesive and up-to-date on domestic military events. In accordance with this, he also talked in detail about some current issues concerning the Hungarian Defence Forces.

The major general presented certificates and memorial items, thanking the seasoned personnel on permanent foreign service for professionally performing their duties, and wished the newcomers quick integration and professional successes.
