Minister of Defence Tibor Benkő met with Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, and Lieutenant General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, military honour at the Ministry of Defence, on Tuesday, 21st December. At the talks the security situation in the region, the crisis in eastern Ukraine, the possibilities of military cooperation, and the situation of the ethnic Hungarian minority in Transcarpathia were discussed among other things.

On Monday, 13 December in Pristina, Kosovo, Defence Minister Tibor Benkő and Lieutenant General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi PhD, Commander, Hungarian Defence Forces personally thanked the 26th rotation of the HDF KFOR Contingent (KFOR-26 HUNCON) for its work. Major General Ferenc Kajári, the commander of NATO’s largest and longest-running mission received the members of the delegation at the military base Camp Film City. After recognizing the work done by the personnel filling individual staff positions, the delegation greeted the members of the rotation in Camp Novo Selo.

The topping out ceremony held on 10 September was attended, among others, by Defence Minister Tibor Benkő, Minister for Innovation and Technology László Palkovics, Government Commissioner for Defence Development Gáspár Maróth and Commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces Lieutenant-General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi.
