The personnel of NATO’s Allied Command Operations Allied Ground Surveillance Force (NAGSF) held its first staff meeting of the year in late February at Sigonella Air Base, Italy. NAGSF Commanding General Brigadier General Andrew M. Clark, assessed the tasks of the recent period, and then presented recognitions to soldiers for their outstanding performance last year.

The only way the war can end is through ceasefire and peace talks, not the donation of weapons and ammunition, therefore Hungary does not donate its ammunition stocks to Ukraine, stated Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky after the Foreign Affairs Council with Foreign Affairs Ministers of the member states of the European Union in Brussels on Monday, 20 March.

Type certification of H225M helicopters completed

The Hungarian military type certification of the Airbus H225M medium lift helicopters has recently been completed. Two out of the 16 ordered multi-role helicopters are going to be handed over at the Airbus Helicopters facility in Marignane, France this July. The Ministry of Defence has placed an order for a total of 16 helicopters of this type in the framework of the National Defence and Armed Forces Development program, with the aim of developing the transport helicopter capability of the Hungarian Defence Forces.
