A delegation from the Advanced Leadership Training Course of the Islamabad National Defence University recently paid a visit to Hungary. Headed by Air Force Commander Aamir Munir, in the morning of 8 June, the delegation visited the Ministry of Defence as a guest of the MoD Department for International Cooperation and the HDF Department for Defence Policy. Lieutenant General Zsolt Sándor, Deputy Commander, Hungarian Defence Forces welcomed the Pakistani delegation.

Commander of Hungarian Defence Forces visits air force tactical exercise

On 1 June, Lieutenant General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi PhD, Commander, Hungarian Defence Forces paid a visit to Sweden, where he observed an ongoing simulated air force tactical exercise and the Hungarian airmen participating in it on the base of the Swedish Air Force Combat Simulation Centre (FLSC) in Stockholm. During the visit, the commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces also met with Jan Olof-Lind, State Secretary, Ministry of Defence of Sweden.

Chiefs of defence of the European Union Military Committee and the NATO Military Committee met in Brussels on 18–19 May. Hungarian Military Representative Lieutenant General Gábor Böröndi PhD attended the meeting of the EU Military Committee on Wednesday, while Lieutenant General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi PhD, Commander, Hungarian Defence Forces the NATO Military Committee in Chiefs of Defence Session on Thursday.

On 17 May, EU Defence Ministers met in Brussels to discuss the implementation of the Strategic Compass, the creation of a Hub for EU Defence Innovation (HEDI), as well as the “Scoping EU defence investment gaps” analysis. Hungary was represented at the EU Foreign Affairs Council (Defence) meeting by Defence State Secretary István Szabó.
