Harmonizing doctrines in Budapest

“The multinational participants of the course can enrich themselves with a new and useful body of knowledge contained in doctrines and their development”, said Major General Dr. László Sticz, Commander, HDF Force Modernization and Transformation Command (HDF FMTC) at the opening of the NATO Allied Joint Doctrine Development Course in Budapest on 16 October. Co-organized by the HDF FMTC, the Allied Command Transformation (ACT) and the NATO Standardization Office (NSO), the event will close on 19 October.

On 14 October, the Pancho Aréna at Felcsút hosted a friendly five-a-side football match in a joyful atmosphere. The teams consisting of Hungarian and Serbian senior military leaders traditionally meet twice a year – this April, the senior officers and generals already matched their football skills in Serbia.

Hungarian Air Force evacuates another 105 people from Israel

Carrying 105 people evacuated from Tel Aviv aboard, the Airbus A319 transport aircraft of the Hungarian Defence Forces landed at Liszt Ferenc International Airport, Budapest some minutes after 20:00 on Friday, 13 October.

International visitors’ group in Kecskemét and Tata

For the first time in the history of the two nations, Georgia and Hungary held a joint cabinet meeting in the country lying on the border of Eastern Europe and Western Asia between 11-12 October. “Preserving their memory is our collective duty and heritage”

On 11 October, altogether 85 German soldiers killed in action in the Second World War were placed to eternal rest in the German–Hungarian Military Cemetery and Peace Park of Budaörs. The ongoing cooperation between the Hungarian Ministry of Defence and the German War Graves Commission (Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge) – which has facilitated the reburial – already has a 30-year history.
