Lieutenant General Kajári welcomed the newly appointed attaché and expressed his best wishes for the attaché’s service in Hungary. At the meeting, they discussed the current situation of the South Korean-Hungarian defence cooperation and agreed on exploring possibilities for further developing their relations, a possible segment of which is training and education. South Korea is an important investment partner of Hungary and a world-leading economic and technological authority. Besides the economic relations between the two countries, defence cooperation is also present in the field of arms control.

The military industry of South Korea owns up-to-date technology and a serious manufacturing capacity. Therefore, it can greatly contribute to meeting the increasing demand of NATO member countries, undertaking significant defence spending for the military industry, as well as to collective capability development and strengthening the defence cooperation.

Besides Hungary, Colonel Woo Wee also strengthens South Korea’s and its armed forces’ bilateral relations in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Croatia.
