The parties emphasised their commitment to strengthening the military-to-military cooperation, with a special emphasis on joint exercises, training and expanding defence industry capabilities.
Türkiye is a recognised partner of Hungary in the field of military cooperation. As a NATO member, its armed forces are among the most powerful in the Alliance, characterised by a rich military tradition, significant experience and modern military technology capabilities supported by the domestic defence industry.
Assessing the meeting, Lieutenant General Ferenc Kajári underlined the cooperation in the Turkish air tactical Exercise Anatolian Eagle, the special operations Exercise Anatolian 2025 and the Exercise Guardian of Peace 2025, in which the appointed personnel of the Hungarian Defence Forces also participated. On the visitors’ day of the latter, the Deputy Chief of HDF Defence Staff could gain first-hand experience of the preparedness of the participants on site.

Lieutenant General Kajári also gave thanks for Türkiye’s support in the NATO Forward Land Force Battlegroup (NATO FLF BG), and they discussed the mission cooperation between the two countries.
To strengthen defence industry relations, they shared the lessons learned related to the Gidrán (Ejder Yalçın) combat vehicles.
The obvious message of the meeting: the military relations between Türkiye and Hungary do not only have a firm basis, but can also be expanded, further strengthened in more fields.
