Infantry Day in Sarajevo

To mark the day of St. Ladislaus I, the patron saint of infantry soldiers, sports competitions were held in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo, organized by the Hungarian company and staff personnel of the EUFOR Multinational Battalion.

EUFOR has Hungarian Chief of Staff again after Command Year

After a successful Hungarian Command Year in 2024, the Hungarian Defence Forces took back the Chief of Staff position of the European Union Force in Bosnia and Herzegovina: on 15 May in Sarajevo, Austrian Brigadier General Herbert Sailer relinquished the post to Brigadier General Tibor Szabó in a ceremony, following which a Hungarian general fills the chief of staff position of the mission again.

Military Engineers Return Home from Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Hungarian military engineer team offered to the Western Balkans country to help with the elimination of the damages caused by the flood and the landslides in the area recently finished its work. Hungary – besides other offers – provided military engineering support to Bosnia and Herzegovina via the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.

CISM Day Run in Camp Butmir

The CISM International Day of Military Sports was celebrated in Camp Butmir All participants were welcomed by COM EUFOR Major General László Sticz, who also started the run. Hundreds of personnel from EUFOR and NATO walked or ran the route.
