On Wednesday, 20 July Lieutenant General Zsolt Sándor, Deputy Commander, Hungarian Defence Forces and Brigadier General Dr. Péter Lippai, Land Forces Inspector, Hungarian Defence Forces Command attended the Distinguished Visitors’ Day of Exercise Dynamic Front 22 coupled with a multinational artillery live fire event in Grafenwöhr Training Area, Germany.

Hungarian national parachute team competes in the Czech Republic

On Monday, 18 July the 37th FAI World Freefall Style & Accuracy Landing Championships started with an opening ceremony in Strakonice, the Czech Republic. Twenty-eight teams and 179 competitors from 28 countries have entered the competition, where Hungary is represented by the national parachute team of the Hungarian Defence Forces.

The HDF 86th Szolnok Helicopter Base was represented with two Mi–24 helicopters at the event, which entertained the international audience during static displays and dynamic demonstrations. Fairford: Hungarian success again!

Organized again after a two-year break at RAF Fairford, South England, the Royal International Air Tattoo 2022 (RIAT) military air show has delighted us with another Hungarian success. On 17 July, Captain Dávid Szentendrei, a pilot from the “Puma” Tactical Squadron of the HDF 59th Dezső Szentgyörgyi Air Base won the prestigious award for the Best Solo Jet Demonstration.

Deputy Inspector General of Bundeswehr visits Hungary

Lieutenant General Markus Laubenthal, Deputy Inspector General of the Bundeswehr paid a visit to Hungary, during which, among others, he met with Lieutenant General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi PhD, Commander, Hungarian Defence Forces, Dr. Gáspár Maróth, MoD State Secretary for Defence Policy and Development and Lieutenant General Zsolt Sándor, Deputy Commander, Hungarian Defence Forces. Following the discussions in Budapest, on Monday, 27 June the deputy inspector general went to visit the HDF 5th Bocskai István Infantry Brigade in Debrecen.
