A new level in strategic partnership

The Hungarian Defence Forces and the Ohio National Guard may expand its more than 30-year cooperation to the fields of air defence, cyber operations and drone warfare as well. This was what General Dr. Gábor Böröndi, Chief of HDF Defence Staff said after attending the 2026 Joint Senior Leader Conference of the Ohio National Guard and held a discussion with ONG Adjutant General Brigadier General Matthew S. Woodruff on the development of bilateral relations.

High-Level Qatari Military Delegation Visits the Hungarian-led KFOR KTRBN

A delegation of the Qatar Armed Forces paid a three-day official visit to Camp Novo Selo in Kosovo, including the Hungarian-led KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion (KTRBN). The delegation was led by Brigadier General Ramzan Hamad Al-Naimi, Commander of the Qatar Armed Forces Joint Warfare Training Center. The delegation also included Prince Jassim Nasser Al-Thani, a captain in the Qatar Armed Forces.

Designated soldiers from the Hungarian company of the multinational NATO Forward Land Force Battle Group (FLF BG) – which is led by and was established in Hungary – recently developed their marksmanship skills and increased their preparedness through technical target practices at the base of the 2nd Grenadier Battalion, HDF 30th Mechanized Infantry Brigade.

Dutch–Hungarian Bilateral Discussion on the Development of Reserve Forces

To restart the Dutch–Hungarian defence policy dialogue, the HDF Territorial Defence and Military Augmentation Command held a discussion on the possible new fields of bilateral cooperation in the Volunteer Reserve System, recruitment and patriotic and national defence education within the framework of a bilateral meeting in Budapest from 2 to 4 February.

Throughout January, Lynx infantry fighting vehicles arrived in large quantities in the barracks of the HDF 30th Mechanized Infantry Brigade. The pieces of equipment delivered within the framework of the National Defence and Military Development Program contribute to increasing Hungary’s defence capability.

“We promised it, we did it. Hungary procured and entered into service 44 Leopard 2A7 main battle tanks. This is among the most modern combat vehicles in the world. Joint NATO Logistics – After the Hungarian, with Lithuanian Leadership
