He was accompanied by János Béres, Hungary’s ambassador accredited to Lithuania, and Colonel Kálmán Hüse, defence, military and air attaché.

Moonstar 2025: Enormous firepower

The successfully completed joint Exercise Moonstar 2025 involved about 150 Hungarian, Polish and Slovak reservists, who demonstrated their preparedness and cooperative skills. The training event was conducted in multinational subunits, with the use of drones, Carl Gustaf recoilless rifles and a H225M helicopter.

Hungarian Success at the CISM World Military Parachuting Championships

At the 47th CISM World Military Parachuting Championships (WMPC), held in Doha between 13 and 23 November, 180 competitors from 28 countries compared their skills in accuracy landing, style and formation skydiving events. The Hungarian team represented our country in accuracy landing with six athletes from the HDF 86th Helicopter Wing personnel.

The city of Siauliai commemorated the Day of the Lithuanian Armed Forces within the framework of a military ceremony held on 23 November. The day is one of the most important national military events in the Baltic country, and its historic significance goes back to 23 November 1918, when the newly independent Lithuania established its own armed forces. Since then, this day has been a symbol of the respect for Lithuanian statehood, freedom and the military vocation.

Close Cooperation Among the V4 Territorial Defence Commanders

Hungary holds the presidency in the Visegrád Group and hosts various events at different levels from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026. Among the common goals is synchronizing the long-term cooperation of member states, which also involves the field of defence policy. The HDF Territorial Defence and Military Augmentation Command (HDF TDMAC) – similarly to its legal predecessor organizations – is committed to creating and maintaining good relations with the territorial defence and reserve forces of neighbouring countries and states of the region.
