Chief Warrant Officer Zoltán Kaszab
08:02 August 10, 2021CSM Kaszab commenced his military service as a conscript soldier from 1991-1992. Following his 12 month obligatory service he enlisted at the 34. Bercsényi Miklós Long Range Reconnaissance Battalion at Szolnok, Hungary (later was renamed as 34. Bercsényi László LRRB).
Upon enlistment he was assigned at the Long Range Reconnaissance (LRRS) communication training company as instructor until 1995.
Following his instructor assignment CSM Kaszab was appointed LRRS team deputy team leader, later team leader.
Between 2004-2006 he was assigned as a Company 1st.SGT at the LRRS company where he served earlier.
Following the structural changes that formed his LRRS Battalion into a Special Forces Battalion CSM Kaszab was appointed as battalion Sergeant Major, and later Regimental Sergeant Major from 2007-2015.
Upon the establishment of the Hungarian Defence Forces Command CSM Kaszab was promoted to CSM of the Joint Special Operations Command.
CSM Kaszab recently is serving as the Command Sergeant Major of the Hungarian Defence Forces.

Hungarian V4 presidency starts with V4 defence policy directors’ meeting

Thanks to the improving epidemiological situation, the defence policy directors of V4 countries had an opportunity to meet in person in Budapest on 8–9 July. The Hungarian delegation was headed by Dr. Gergely Németh, Deputy State Secretary for Defence Policy of the Ministry of Defence. The primary goal of the meeting was to discuss the defence policy and military-to-military cooperation program of the Hungarian V4 presidency which started on 1 July 2021, and to make preparations for the V4 defence ministers’ meeting to be held in the autumn of 2021.

On Friday, 2nd July, Minister of Defence Tibor Benkő and Major General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, Commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces, held a press conference on the most spectacular military event of the year at the 59th Szentgyörgyi Dezső Air Base of the Hungarian Defence Forces.
The Kecskemét International Air Show and Military Display have a long history

Hungary takes over V4 presidency as of 1 July

The defence ministers’ meeting to close the one-year Polish presidency was held at Headquarters NATO Multinational Division North-East (HQ MND NE) on 21 June. The main topics on the agenda of the ministers’ discussion were the current EU and NATO issues, as well as the possibilities for further strengthening and developing the V4 defence cooperation.
